Michael Higgins is President of Independet Sales Services for TRANSFIRST. With more than 22 years of executive leadership experience in the industry, he is responsible for overseeing the company's sales initiatives related to and support of TRANSFIRST's independent sales partners.

Prior to joining TRANSFIRST, Mr. Higgins served as Senior Vice President – Sales and Portfolio Management for Nova Information Systems/US Bank where he managed relationships with financial institutions, joint ventures, associations, direct sales, telesales, independent sales organizations and airlines. He also served as Senior Vice President Business Development and Relationship Management focused on franchise sales and portfolio management.

Mr. Higgins led the Unified Merchant Services/Nations Bank and Boatmen's Bank account teams for First Data Merchant Services and spent more than 11 years at Automatic Data Processing, Employer Services.

Mr. Higgins earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from University of Northern Iowa. He will be based in Atlanta with his wife and two kids.
